  • Create mood boards, trend directions, color palettes, and material stories for stakeholders.
  • Develop CADs, hand sketches, and tech packs to communicate with manufacturing partners.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Merchandising to ensure brand consistency and execution.
  • Source materials and trims, maintain a material library, and monitor sample development with overseas partners.
  • Maintain accurate technical specs and documentation in PLM or similar systems.

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Production Coordinator with strong production expertise and experience in handbags and accessories to join our team. This role will play a key part in managing the end-to-end production process—from initial order placement through final delivery—while ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, customer requirements, and private label standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of managing high-volume private label production with overseas factories and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the design of seasonal handbag collections, ensuring alignment with brand direction and market trends.
  • Create and present mood boards, trend direction, color palettes, and material stories to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed CADs, hand sketches, and tech packs using Adobe Illustrator to communicate with manufacturing partners.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Merchandising teams to ensure brand consistency and product execution.
  • Attend and contribute to internal design reviews and cross-functional development meetings.
  • Source and select raw materials, hardware, and trims, maintaining a well-organized material and trim library.
  • Liaise with overseas partners, including factories and sourcing teams, to monitor the progress of sample development and ensure execution aligns with design intent.
  • Maintain accurate technical specifications and design documentation using PLM or similar systems.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach to managing multiple projects and seasonal timelines.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of production experience, with handbags/accessories experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of handbag construction, materials, trims, packaging, testing, and production processes.
  • Experience managing production with overseas factories and coordinating high-volume orders.
  • Willingness to travel overseas to work with overseas office and factories.
  • Experience identifying and ensuring compliance with customer-specific and private label requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with PLM systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, production calendars, and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across teams and with overseas vendors.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, resourceful, and adaptable to shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of production timelines, quality requirements, testing, packaging, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to proactively identify issues, follow through on solutions, and ensure production remains on track.
Hybrid Work Schedule

4 days a week in the office, Friday work from home

New York Pay Rate $70,000.00 - $85,000.00
