Job summary

Fagron in Wichita, KS seeks a Cleanroom Coordinator to prepare and control pharmaceutical compounds per prescriptions, ensuring accurate dosing and patient safety. You will schedule weekly production, manage staff during shutdowns, coordinate with QA for issuance and deviations, and maintain inventory accuracy while adhering to cGMP and aseptic techniques.

Strong documentation, ERP experience, and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED required; higher degree preferred in Pharmacy/Life Sciences/Supply Chain.
  • 2+ years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, compounding, or regulated healthcare.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, aseptic techniques, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with inventory control and cycle counting.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP, inventory, or scheduling software preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule weekly production based on personnel, components, and capacity.
  • Revise weekly schedule for changes in personnel, inventory, or batch requests.
  • Coordinate staff duties during shutdowns or inventories.
  • Terminate batches when needed and document actions.
  • Address component and API issues by engaging responsible personnel.
  • Create production orders for semi-finished goods.
  • Process daily picklists for aseptic support personnel.
  • Coordinate with QA for batch issuance, rescheduling, and cancellation.
  • Review components and equipment for future production needs.
  • Coordinate with departments for ordering and releasing components.
  • Assist with data collection and writing production events and deviations.
  • Review batch records for errors before QA submission.
  • Cycle count in warehouse; create adjusting journals.
  • Scrap expired components as required.

About the Job

The Cleanroom Coordinator will prepare and control individual pharmaceutical compounds based on prescriptions with the aim of ensuring that the patient receives the correct medication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule weekly production based on personnel, qualifications, available components, and facility capacity
  • Revise weekly production schedule as needed (due to changes in personnel, equipment, inventory, cleanroom status, or additional batch requests)
  • Coordinate duties of staff during a facility shutdown or annual inventory days
  • Early Terminate batches as needed and complete documentation
  • Address Component and API issues as they arise by reaching out to the responsible personnel
  • Create production orders for semi-finished goods
  • Process daily picklists for Aseptic Support Personnel to wipe into the cleanroom
  • Work with QA for timely batch issuance, batch rescheduling, and batch cancellation
  • Review components and equipment needed for future production
  • Coordinate with other departments for ordering and releasing production components
  • Assist with collecting data and writing production events and deviations
  • Review batch records and identify errors prior to submission to QA
  • Cycle count in warehouse to ensure the inventory is accurate
  • Create counting journals and adjust inventory as necessary
  • Scrap expired and wasted components
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, compounding pharmacy, or a regulated healthcare environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), aseptic techniques, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with inventory management, cycle counting, and material control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using ERP, inventory management, or production scheduling software preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
