ob Title: Production Coordinator
Department: Operations
Reports to: Plant Manager
Direct reports: Supervisor(s), Line Workers, and Lab Manager
Essential Functions:
- Assist Plant Manager in implementing Lean manufacturing, plant, and workflow improvements.
- Set up and control pre-production kitting processes, including checking for BOM discrepancies.
- Take daily production counts, collect production data, and update manufacturing ERP system accurately.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly schedules based on production data.
- Maintain paperwork and databases in real time.
- Perform and update production time studies.
- Assist in ensuring OSHA compliance and run monthly safety training sessions.
- Plan and update project management matrices with owners and completion dates.
- Audit housekeeping and safety programs regularly to ensure OSHA compliance.
- Document work functions, develop SOP manuals, and create detailed work instructions.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods; conduct bi-weekly inventory and procurement; perform weekly cycle counts.
- Assist in conducting physical inventories of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Support ordering and flow of materials, and train workers on SOPs and procedures.

Qualifications/Skills:
- 1-2 years’ experience in production or manufacturing preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong data analysis and compilation skills.
- Experience with process improvement, time studies, and data collection preferred.
- Lean manufacturing experience preferred (1-2 years).
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
- Workflow management experience required.
- Intermediate project management skills (2-3 years).
- Knowledge of safety laws, DEP, and OSHA regulations (2-3 years).
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, stress management, and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning, scheduling, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly organized, efficient, and tech-savvy.
- Associate degree or 3 years of equivalent experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to operate warehouse and shipping equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Compensation:
$70,000 per year
