Summary:The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and driving daily production execution across assigned manufacturing areas. This role functions similarly to an Apparel Production Manager in terms of production planning, monitoring, and execution, while operating under the direction of the Director of Manufacturing. The Production Coordinator ensures production targets are achieved by actively managing workflow, resolving issues, and maintaining alignment across production and support teams. The position has direct oversight of Lead Supervisors and the Utility Workforce, ensuring effective supervision, coordination, and utilization of labor resources to meet production objectives.Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following.Coordinate and execute daily production plans to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.Monitor production performance, including efficiency, output, labor utilization, quality, and WIP levels.Directly manage and provide direction to Lead Supervisors and the Utility Workforce.Engage with Supervisors, Leads, and support departments (Cutting, QA, Mechanics, Materials) to ensure production goals are achieved.Identify and resolve production issues such as bottlenecks, material shortages, staffing gaps, and equipment constraints.Prepare and maintain production reports, dashboards, and summaries using shop floor systems (Exenta, ETON).Drive line balancing, operator allocation, and workflow adjustments to optimize productivity.Ensure production teams have necessary materials, work instructions, and resources to meet daily targets.Enforce compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, attendance expectations, and company policies.Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.Coordinate and support training initiatives for supervisors, leads, and operators.Lead and support continuous improvement efforts focused on cost reduction, efficiency gains, and process stability.Monitor labor performance and support payroll validation and workforce utilization.Maintain control of production flow, inventory movement (WIP), and operational priorities within assigned areas.Escalate critical issues to the Director of Manufacturing with recommended solutions.Perform other duties as assigned.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Production Efficiency: Achievement of targeted efficiency levels for assigned areas.On-Time Delivery: Percentage of orders completed and shipped on or before schedule.Adherence to Schedule: Ability to execute daily and weekly production plans as established.Quality Performance: Defect rates, rework levels, and compliance with AQL standards.Attendance Impact: Effectiveness in managing attendance-related disruptions and maintaining workforce stability to meet production goals.Supervisory Responsibilities:Is directly responsible for the supervision and direction of the Lead Production and Production Supervisors.Education and/or Experience:Requires a bachelor’s degree. Also requires three (5) years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment; demonstrated knowledge of production processes, workflow coordination, and industrial sewing operations; experience working with production tracking systems (e.g., Exenta, ETON, or similar shop floor systems) preferred; Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production data and drive performance improvements.Language Skills:Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
