Job summary

Segers Aero Corporation in Fairhope, AL is seeking a Production Coordinator to monitor work orders, track inventory, and coordinate parts movements with procurement and production to release builds on schedule.

This full-time role requires strong communication, time management, and the ability to work with minimal supervision; OSHA safety compliance and ITAR/EAR awareness are important.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing or MRO is a plus.
  • Background check and pre-employment drug screen required.
  • US citizenship or permanent residency may be required for ITAR/EAR.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor progress of work orders pending release to production.
  • Coordinate parts movements with inventory, procurement, and production.
  • Update Aerotrac reports and work in progress (WIP).
  • Perform inventory on all work racks after inspection.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace and follow safety policies.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $28.00 Hourly

Segers Aero Corporation located in Fairhope, AL is hiring a Production Coordinator to join our team. We offer a competitive benefits package and a 9/80 work week with every other Friday off.
Purpose of position:

To monitor and communicate the progress of work orders that are pending release to production. To ensure all work racks have been inventoried and are 95% complete before being released to production.

Essential Functions:
  • Organize priority parts for IHR in all different areas with help of local suppliers.
  • Coordinates parts movements with inventory, procurement, and production until the build rack is released to production.
  • Responsible for updating Aerotrac reports, and work in progress (WIP)
  • Performs an inventory on all work racks after inspection is completed.
  • Verifies inventory and ensures all scrap on work racks has been entered in the inspection workbench.
  • Monitors outstanding parts on assigned orders and communicates shortages as needed.
  • Recommends part exchanges for parts not making the build date.
  • Maintains a close working relationship with Logistics, Production, and Sales.
  • Works closely with Inventory and IOC Lead s and Logistics Manager and attends departmental meetings.
  • Maintains a clean/safe workspace free from spills or obstructions which may lead to harm.
  • Travels as required to support business needs.
  • Confers with manager/lead to recommend changes such as equipment utilization, production methods and procedures to increase the efficiency of the department and promote improvement.
  • Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner.
  • Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy.
  • Works overtime as needed.
  • Observes and practices all safety procedures and personal policies (e.g. Safety-glasses, ear plugs, face shields etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must have normal dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Must have intermediate to advanced Microsoft computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) and the ability to learn and be proficient in company-specific software.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. regularly and more, with assistance occasionally
  • Must regularly be able to reach overhead
  • Must be able to stand, walk, reach overhead, squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs as needed.
  • Must be able to walk around regularly using steps occasionally
  • Ability to provide verification of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions.
Marginal Functions:
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience is required.
  • An Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing and or MRO environment is a plus.
  • Intermediate Computer experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Work conditions:

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Noise is generally loud.
