Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Cook for a full-time day shift to provide courteous, friendly food service to employees, visitors, physicians, and patients. The role emphasizes preparing hot and cold items using a variety of production cooking equipment and following scratch recipes with strong attention to proper food handling.

Ideal candidates will have experience in high-volume production kitchens, knowledge of scratch recipes, and the ability to set up and maintain clean

Qualifications

Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
Upon hire: National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority
3 years working in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or institutional food service facility working in a production cooking capacity.
2 years experience working from scratch recipes and experience prepping and portioning items needed in the production process.
Experience working successfully in a team environment to accomplish common goals.

Responsibilities

Prepare hot and cold food items following scratch recipes and department specs.
Set up, stock, and clean service areas.
Provide courteous, friendly food service to employees, visitors, physicians, and patients.
