Job summary

Leonardo Helicopters US Corporation in Philadelphia, PA seeks a Production Controller to manage material flow, release work orders, and coordinate with Procurement and Production Planning to ensure on-time availability of parts.

You will monitor parts, track shortages with SAP, oversee racks, and act as the liaison across Assembly Line, Warehouse, and other departments to keep production costs in check.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Production scheduling or relevant experience is required.
  • Inventory Management experience is preferred.
  • Logistic material experience is preferred.
  • Supply chain knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Strong attitude to deal with daily problems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, expedite and accelerate missing part through SAP.
  • Request and track parts from Warehouse (replacing part, missing parts, etc.).
  • Make sure parts scheduled for activities are physically present on racks in the helicopter bay.
  • Track missing parts tied to scheduled job cards and provide as soon as available in Warehouse.
  • Monitor and close open tasks assigned from other Departments.
  • Release and print work orders (routings) and oversee the process.
  • Oversee material racks remaining in order and help Production keep a clean work bay.

Job Description

1- Summary of Position: (Brief description of overall responsibilities and function)


The Production Control plays a critical role in the company.


Must manage and solve any material issues that may arise, ensuring that all parts needed for the production process are available on time on assembly line, and work with different departments to maintain and respect the correct material flow.


The position has a multitude of responsibilities, as one needs to help ensure that all aspects of the material supply on the shop floor run efficiently and oversee complex processes that have a big impact on the company costs.


Work closely with the Procurement Dept. and Production Planning team to ensure the availability of the materials and components required for production.


Release and print work orders (routings) created by the Engineering Dept. for specific tasks and reworks. Track the progress of the work orders, monitor the status and make sure to close the process once the activity is done.


Be the interface and referring point for any material aspect between all functions on the Assembly Line, Procurement and Warehouse, in charge for any physical and accounting movement of the material.


Need attitude to cooperate and deal with coworkers from other company functions with a good initiative-taking approach to face daily issues.
