VulcanForms Inc. in Newburyport, MA seeks a Production Control Planner to support production planning and purchasing in a fast-paced, advanced manufacturing environment.

You will manage outside vendor processing, adhere to production schedules, and ensure on-time delivery of high-performance metal components. Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience in production planning, supply chain or purchasing.
• 3+ years ERP/MRP experience (EPICOR, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data tracking).
• Good communication and willingness to learn in a team environment.
• Must be willing to work on site in Newburyport, MA.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for managing outside service operations.
• Create and manage purchase orders for outside service providers in alignment with customer needs.
• Track order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Support supplier communication regarding order changes, delays, or issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and conduct vendor performance evaluations.
• Escalate supplier issues to senior team members.
• Support sourcing activities for new or alternate suppliers as needed.
• Work with production, engineering, and quality teams to support daily operations.
• Communicate material availability and scheduling updates to internal stakeholders.
• Support development and maintenance of daily and weekly production schedules.
• Monitor work orders and help track status and progress through manufacturing steps.
• Support the broader planning team in adjusting schedules based on material availability and vendor delivery schedules.
• Ensure entry and maintenance of accurate and up to date data in ERP/MRP systems.
• Generate reports on inventory, orders, and production status.
• Support data analysis efforts to improve planning accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist with new product introduction (NPI) activities and production ramp-ups.

Job Purpose

This role will manage and coordinate all material activities related to outside vendor processing including adhering to production schedules, managing Outside Service Vendors relationships, and ensuring on-time delivery of high-performance metal components.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for managing outside service operations

The annual base salary range for this position is $8__3,200-$114,400.
