Job summary

Leidos’ Undersea Systems Division in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a Production Control and Planning Lead to oversee complex contracts and R&D programs, guiding a talented team through material and schedule management.

You will partner with engineering, procurement, and quality to ensure timely delivery, implement standard work, and drive continuous improvement using MRP tools.

Qualifications

  • Practical knowledge of Deltek Costpoint MRP or similar system.
  • Lean and batch manufacturing background.
  • US Citizenship required; ability to obtain Secret clearance.
  • Experience across product lifecycle from development to production.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Production Control and Planning Team across contracts and R&D programs.
  • Coordinate with engineering, configuration management and procurement to schedule material and work orders.
  • Collaborate with quality, inventory management, and manufacturing engineering for synchronized flow.
  • Establish standard work procedures aligned with manufacturing methodologies.
  • Develop and coach the team in production planning and control.
  • Innovate with the team to improve production control processes.
  • Use MRP tools to drive purchasing, orchestration of kitting, and pushing Work Orders to production.
  • Provide necessary documentation to expedite procurement.
  • Resolve impediments to meet aggressive delivery constraints.
  • Oversee the Project Assistant Group.

Our Lynnwood, WA facility is expanding its operations based on significant business growth and is seeking new talent to join our world-class production team. If you are an experienced production control and planning professional with knowledge, skill, and experience leading teams and working with Deltek Costpoint Material Requirement Planning (MRP) or a similar MRP system we would like to hear from you.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Leading the Production Control and Planning Team in support of multiple complex contracts, production efforts, and Research and Development Programs.
  • Coordinating directly with engineering, configuration management and procurement to ensure accurate, timely scheduling of material and work order flow to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Working directly with quality control, inventory management, manufacturing engineering and material planners to ensure a harmonious and synchronized operational flow.
  • Establishing standard work procedures consistent with standard manufacturing methodologies.
  • Developing your team and assisting them in effective production planning and control.
  • Innovating with the team to solve production control challenges and improve process.
  • Using the Manufacturing Requirements Planning tool to drive purchasing, orchestrate kitting, and push Work Orders to the production floor.
  • Gathering and delivering necessary documentation to inform procurement to expedite purchasing.
  • Resolving impediments to achieving aggressive delivery constraints.
  • Managing the Project Assistant Group.
  • Reviewing purchase card packages and supporting procurement issues from the group.
Basic Qualifications
  • Practical knowledge of Deltek Costpoint MRP or similar system.
  • Background in lean and batch manufacturing practices and environments.
  • Ability to work in a full product lifecycle environment from product development through production transition and beyond.
  • Product development and production planning background with complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work productively, collaboratively, and independently.
  • Must work on-site in Lynnwood, not a remote work position.
  • Current Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple direct reports including remote and hybrid employees.
  • BA degree and 6-10 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Background in Department of War (DoD) business.
  • Experience with PLM/ERP/MES enterprise software.

Pay Range

Pay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00
