Job summary

Regal Rexnord in Auburn, Alabama is seeking a Production Control Coordinator to manage release and scheduling of jobs on the shop floor. You will coordinate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Purchasing, Quality and Production Control to prioritize parts and meet on-time delivery.

This role requires an eye for detail, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with MRP concepts, SAP, MS Word and Excel. Experience in manufacturing is essential; strong problem-solving and communication skills

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year’s experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints is a plus.
• Strong math skills and reporting abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and prioritizes jobs through work cells and outside operations to meet On Time Delivery.
• Releases production orders on time.
• Identifies bottlenecks and communicates solutions to resolve problems.
• Status updates for all released jobs and remaining operations.
• Maintains MRP accuracy for product lines.
• Reviews cell demand and capacity with Management.

Work Model

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Position Overview

The Couplings division of the Industrial Powertrain Solutions segment is looking for a Production Control Coordinator at our Auburn, Alabama site. The role coordinates the processing of all released jobs through the shop floor. It interacts closely with the Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Purchasing, Quality and Production Control to prioritize and expedite parts to meet schedule. The role generates and maintains status reports and provides information as needed to support the cross functional team and meet On-Time-Delivery to Rexnord customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedules and prioritizes jobs through work cells & outside operations to best meet On Time Delivery to customers, including prioritizing list to current communicated priority.
• Responsible for releasing production orders on time.
• Identifies problems or bottlenecks delaying critical jobs from completing on time, communicates possible solutions and follows through with the required persons to resolve problems.
• Status jobs and maintain an updated list of remaining operations of all released jobs.
• Responsible for maintaining MRP accuracy for their product lines.
• Review cell demand and capacity ongoing with Management

Required Skills and Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to deal constructively with all levels of the organization.
• Able to generate reports, investigate and resolve problems using basic problem-solving tools and methodologies.
• Able to read and understand blueprints as a plus.
• Good math skills.
• Must have good working knowledge in MS Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) methodologies and practices.
• High level knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
• Working experience in SAP operating systems.
• Must have excellent English verbal, reading and writing skills.
• Great organization skills.
• Ability to manage workload to deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, detailed-oriented environment.
