Job summary

Price Industries in Casa Grande, AZ is seeking an Entry Level Production Control Clerk to support production scheduling and material coordination. The role collaborates with Design Engineering, Application Engineering, Customer Service, IT, Manufacturing and Purchasing to maintain smooth operations.

You will generate schedules, determine parts requirements, monitor performance against plan and help manage work hours and resources. A high school diploma plus technical exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preference for a two-year technical degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in similar field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel (Data Entry and Printing Options)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Internet Explorer and/or similar programs
  • Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Exceptional computer-based skills and knowledge
  • Demonstrable problem solving and analytic skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

  • Create a production schedule for plant using the best combination of ERP and Excel
  • Determine parts requirements per order based on ERP outputs
  • Monitor, analyze and report performance to schedule of production activities
  • Assist the Manufacturing department to actively manage production, schedule work hours and resources
  • Research and assign manufacturing times and due dates on parts and document during releasing process
  • Identify and resolve supplier and internal errors that result in schedule discrepancies
  • Provide continual improvement of planning and reporting processes
  • Participate in project milestone meetings and new product development as required
  • Accurately develop and maintain complex master bills-of-material and work order bills-of-material
  • Validate BOMs to engineering documentation for accuracy on each other
  • Reproduce drawings and assemble drawing packets with router, dates, and instructions
  • Stay informed of current projects, customer quotes, workload, and processes

The Production Control Clerk supports production in achieving overall operational goals. Efficiently expedites requests from the account managers and runs reports and paperwork to give instructions to the production line.

This position will report to the Value Stream Manager and will be responsible for the organization and coordination of material requirements. This position works with the Design Engineering group, Application Engineering and Customer Service group, Information Technologies, Manufacturing and Purchasing.

Responsibilities:
  • Function as the focal point in creating a production schedule for plant using the best combination of Manufacturing ERP system and Excel
  • Determine parts requirements per order based on technical points and ERP outputs
  • Monitors, analyzes and reports performance to schedule of production activities
  • Assist the Manufacturing department to actively manage the production, schedule work hours and resources
  • Research and assign manufacturing times and due dates on parts as needed and document during the releasing process and for special order requests
  • Identify and resolve supplier and internal errors that result in schedule discrepancies
  • Provide continual improvement of the planning and reporting processes
  • Participate in project milestone meetings and new product development as required
  • Accurately develop and maintain complex master bills-of-material, and work order bills-of-material
  • Validate BOMs to engineering documentation for accuracy on each other
