Job Responsibilities
  • Perform chemical reactions to recover precious metals from various sources (e-scrap, jewelry, plating solutions, vapor deposition equipment, overspray, etc.).
  • Sample, recover, and analyze materials for precious metal content.
  • Conduct mechanical filtration, dissolution, and recovery of precious metals using acids, bases, or cyanide.
  • Maintain and clean laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals safely.
  • Maintain detailed records of job and batch information.
  • Assist in wastewater treatment processes, including cyanide oxidation and acid neutralization.
  • Contribute to developing new methods and technologies for precious metal recovery.
  • Observe processes and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in designing, installing, and modifying equipment.
  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance.
  • Review and update standard operating procedures.
  • Identify quality control improvements.
  • Assist in other areas of the Chemical Treatment Department as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience in wet chemistry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs.
  • All experience levels considered.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work on feet in a production environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move 55-gallon drums.
  • Perform essential job functions safely and effectively, complying with relevant standards.
Work Schedule

Morning shift (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
