Job summary

Birk Manufacturing Inc. in East Lyme, CT is seeking a Production Cell Supervisor to lead a small team of five assemblers and oversee daily manufacturing operations.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on production flow, quality, safety, and continuous improvement, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a $25–$27 hourly pay plus a performance-based bonus. • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in an ISO-certified environment.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Ability to lead a hands-on manufacturing team and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop approximately five production employees.
• Monitor daily production schedules, workflow, quality, and status.
• Coordinate staffing, materials, and equipment to keep production on track.
• Address attendance, performance, and employee relations issues.
• Manage training, time-off requests, and performance reviews.
• Support safety initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
• Develop and maintain standard work procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and quality.
• Communicate production updates and resource needs to management.
