Qualifications

  • Familiarity with EMM/MDM (Workspace ONE, Knox, JAMF, Intune, SOTI).
  • Certifications such as ACSP and Android Enterprise are a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of WLAN/WWAN networking.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job description

The Production Automation Engineer (PAE) develops and supports staging automation for customer projects, with a primary focus on First Article development and ongoing production support. The PAE works closely with Mobile Solutions Engineers (MSEs) throughout the project lifecycle to ensure automation meets technical requirements, quality standards, and established SLA timelines. This role continuously identifies opportunities to improve processes, optimize automation, prevent production issues, and communicate lessons learned to engineering and operations teams. The PAE manages multiple projects at different stages simultaneously while also providing Level 2 automation support and troubleshooting complex production issues. Success in the role requires broad technical knowledge of mobile devices, operating systems, software, networks, security, enterprise integrations, and Stratix production workflows and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately triage and solve production issues related to automation with an appropriate level of urgency while balancing multiple priorities
  • Work with and communicate clearly to a variety of functional team leads, as well as second- and third-level support SMEs, to communicate status and drive completion
  • Capture and communicate lessons learned to drive process improvement
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Management (or other related technology degree) or equivalent field experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years of enterprise Information Technology (IT) experience with significant work with mobility systems/devices
  • Expertise with enterprise and consumer smartphone and tablet mobile computing platforms, especially Apple and Samsung; familiarity with rugged mobile computing and data terminals; particularly Zebra and Honeywell products
  • Expertise with Apple iOS, Google Android and Windows Operating Systems
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)/Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms in the enterprise (e.g., Workspace One/AirWatch, Knox, JAMF, Intune, SOTI MobiControl, etc.)
  • Desired Certifications: ACSP (Apple Certified Support Professional) and Android Enterprise Expert, as well as MDM certifications.
  • Working knowledge of wired and wireless (WLAN and WWAN) IP networking, as well as carrier networks
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong ability to analyze and resolve challenges quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal customers, including clear communication and collaborative interpersonal skills
