Job description

We are working with an Automotive sheet metal fabrication Company located in the Dublin, Ohio area. We are seeking production workers who will manufacture sheet metal and light rail parts.

We are looking for energetic individuals with production experience using sheet metal, preferably in a manufacturing or job shop setting.

Shift: 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday)

  • Sunday 11:30 PM - 8:00 AM
  • Monday-Thursday 9:30 PM - 8:00 AM

Pay rate: $18.00/hour

Note: Will need to train on 1st shift for 3 months before moving to 3rd shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Operation of various equipment, including but not limited to, spot welders, presses, and shearers to fabricate sheet metal products within required specifications.
  • Lift, position, and remove sheet metal and parts from machines or stock to assist in fabrication.
  • Load, stack, and transport raw materials, tools, dies, and products by hand or forklift.
  • Utilize overhead crane and slings to transport dies.
  • Clean, grind, and scrape metal prior to fabrication, welding, painting, or shipping.
  • Perform inspection of parts, using blueprints and operational documentation as needed.
  • Handle scrap materials from work areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area, machines, tools, and equipment.

More experienced associates may perform additional duties such as:

  • Manually hand fabricating metal parts to specification using hammers and grinders.
  • Developing and planning sequences of operations.
  • Setting up fabricating machines such as press brakes, shearers, plasma cutters, drill presses, and bandsaws.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment.
  • Blueprint, stamping, and/or welding experience is a plus.
  • Good attitude and communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to use calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
