Job summary

84 Lumber is seeking an Associate to accurately cut engineered wood products and assemble loads for delivery. The role requires maintaining a safe, clean lumber yard, loading/unloading materials, and operating saws or routers with basic maintenance knowledge.

The position offers a daytime schedule, with benefits and a starting wage of $18 per hour. A physically active role, lifting up to 80 lbs, and forklift operation may be involved.

Qualifications

Overview Associate is responsible for the proper cutting of engineered wood products and building loads for deliveries. In addition, this associate must maintain a safe, clean and well organized lumber yard, load and unload lumber and/or building supplies, operate a forklift, and be able to lift 80 lbs. Other duties as assigned.

$18hr, M-F 7am-4pm, full-benefits.

Responsibilities

• Keeps lumber yard clean, well-organized and safe


• Working on an automated or manual saw and router system while keeping up on routine maintenance of machinery and compressors.


• Using Power Saws, Chain Saws, Routers, Staplers, Banders and other tools needed to prep wood material used to assemble EWP packages.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend documents (i.e. policy and procedure manuals); write routine reports and correspondence; speak/present in front of a small group.


• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations.
