Job description

Position Purpose:

Responsible for heat-treating brake shoes.

Hourly Pay Range: $16.75 - $19.00

Essential Functions:

1. Manually loads parts into the fixture and verifies quality of parts.
2. Maintain Environmental, Health & Safety standards in the workplace.

Education and Training:

1. Keeps work area clean at all times.
2. Works in a safe manner at all times.
3. Other job duties may be assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Good communication skills.
2. Must be able to work independently.
3. Ability to work well with others.

Physical Demands:

1. Must be able to lift 15lbs repeatedly at shoulder height or above.
2. Must be able to stand continuously for 8 - 12 hrs.
3. Ability to bend, twist and lift repetitively.
4. Demonstrates dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations.

Environmental Conditions:

1. Ear and Eye protection required at all times in production areas.
2. Exposure to noisy work environment.
3. Exposure to hot steel.
4. Exposure to fumes.
5. Exposure to hot and humid conditions.
6. Exposure to welding arc.
7. Exposure to coolants, oils, grease, and water.
8. Steel toe boots with metatarsal guards are required at all times.
