Base Pay: $16 per hour plus $1.25 per hour shift differential

Rotational Shift Schedule 4/3/3/4: Day Shift Hours (6 AM - 6 PM) and Night Shift Hours (6 PM - 6 AM)

Duties And Responsibilities

Position Summary: As a Trim and Moulding Extrusion Operator you will work with your Lead Operator and Stackers in executing daily activities and goals of the department. You will follow all standards in key areas such as safety, housekeeping, quality and productivity. You will present a positive attitude and help motivate all associates to work at their highest potential.

  • Set up dies, extrusion machines and auxiliary equipment
  • Observe machine operation to detect profile defects or machine malfunction and readjust operating conditions such as heater, water and vacuum settings; pressure; screw and conveyor speed; and cooling system
  • Conduct quality checks by measuring product dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation by using precision calipers
  • Move finished profile and prepare skids of product for shipment
  • Carry scrap and defective boards to the scrap racks/skids & transport to the grinder/ recycling
  • Fill hopper, and perform minor machine maintenance such as lubrication and cleaning dies
  • Take hourly readings of machine gauges and document results on run sheets
  • Perform Oracle transactions to accurately track material inventory levels
  • Accurately count and report production and inventory at end of shift
  • Perform duties in safe and responsible manner
  • Train and mentor stackers
  • Attend all plant EHS training as scheduled, and follow guidelines, rules, procedures and programs as trained
  • Support and help execute the department goals and objectives
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

Successful completion of OSHA mandated fork truck training is required. Good basic math and computer skills are preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to push/pull carts without assistance
  • Ability to stand on concrete flooring for 12+ hours per day
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb as necessary
