Job summary

Goodyear is hiring for roles in our retread plants to support the tire retread process. You will inspect tires, buff casings, repair, and apply new tread to extend tire life, with training provided on first shift. This is a two-shift environment with opportunities for overtime and full benefits.

Starting pay is $20 per hour, with overtime opportunities and weekly pay. Benefits include medical, prescription, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, vacation, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to assess if they can be retread.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust and repair the casing.
• Repair the casing using rubber cement or patch.
• Apply new tread and build the tire.
• Cure the tire to mold the retread application.
• Perform final inspection for safety and quality.
