Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a Saw Shop Operator in Kansas City, MO to set up and run power saws for slotting, cutting, and trimming wood for pallets. You will be a key part of the pallet manufacturing process and work Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Starting pay is $19.00 per hour with benefits including paid time off, insurance options, a 401(k), and opportunities for career advancement. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift pallets up to ~50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Previous lumber/warehouse or carpentry experience is preferred.

Overview

As a Saw Shop Operator, you’ll get to setup our builders for success by setting up and operating power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation! You’ll be the a vital piece of our pallet manufacturing process, and we’re looking for a motivated individual to fill this role!

Hourly Pay:

$19.00/hr

Shift(s):

Monday - Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Operate power saws to cut & trim wood pallets
• Follow and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
• Communicate to plant management effectively on a regular basis
• Ability to work overtime as needed

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, experience highly preferred
• Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work overtime as needed
