48forty Solutions, LLC is seeking a Saw Shop Operator in Hammond, LA. You will set up and operate power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation, contributing to our pallet manufacturing process.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a readiness to work overtime. We offer competitive hourly pay and a range of benefits in a team-driven environment.

As a Saw Shop Operator, you’ll get to set up our builders for success by setting up and operating power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation! You’ll be the a vital piece of our pallet manufacturing process, and we’re looking for a motivated individual to fill this role!

Hourly Pay: $15.00/hr

Shift(s): Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Location: Hammond, LA

• Operate power saws to cut & trim wood pallets


• Follow and adhere to all safety rules and regulations


• Communicate to plant management effectively on a regular basis


• Ability to work overtime as needed


• High School Diploma or GED


• Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis


• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, experience highly preferred


• Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality


• Ability to communicate effectively


• Ability to work overtime as needed

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate

• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location


• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
