Job Summary:
  1. Primary Functions:
    • Utilize rack or barrel fixturing to chemically process parts through cleaning, plating, pickling, or passivation lines according to process specifications.
    • Follow environmental, health, and safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, gloves, and chemically resistant aprons.
    • Calculate surface area of parts and apply current density as per plating specifications.
    • Read and understand process sheets, product drawings, and visual work instructions.
    • Review work orders or schedules established by the team leader.
    • Log all procedures in accordance with plating quality requirements.
    • Set up fixtures, racks, and barrels using data from logbooks.
    • Operate in-process inspection equipment like micrometers and dial gauges.
    • Ensure proper chemical waste disposal under supervision.
    • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
    • Work effectively in a team environment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
  2. Basic Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • At least one year of experience in manufacturing/operations or a background in Chemistry/Chemical Processing.
    • Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret data.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and safety regulations.
    • Ability to multitask and work in a team.
    • Basic computer skills (Windows and Microsoft Office).
    • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for 8-10 hours.
    • Willingness to work overtime.
Additional Details:

Location: Beltsville, MD

Salary: $24/hr

Work Hours: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
