Job summary

Goodwill San Antonio is seeking a Production Associate to load, sort, and manage donated goods while delivering friendly donor and customer service. The role requires bending, lifting, and moving items, with some heavy object lifting possible.

You will help keep areas clean and organized and must communicate well with the team. The position supports a mission-driven environment, offering opportunities for growth and participation in Goodwill’s training and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year minimum experience in retail customer service oriented environment.
• Able to bend, lift, grasp and move continuously through the day.
• Two-person lifting of some heavy objects may be required.
• Must have good verbal communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to donors and customers by greeting and accepting donations at donation station.
• Issue donor receipt in friendly and courteous manner.
• Load, unload and move donated goods, materials, including furniture using a hand truck onto or from pallets, racks or shelves to maintain workflow.
• Supply Team Members with materials, boxes, barrels, containers, etc. by walking stations to identify and restock supplies.
• Sort donated items, garments and hard lines with limited supervision; monitor production levels and pricing.
• Keep aisles clear of debris and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Inform Team Leader or Manager of safety hazards and follow Loss Prevention protocols.
