Job Description

What you’ll do:

  • Screen, coordinate and produce phone calls for segments.
  • Participate and contribute to the Social Media presence for the program – including Twitter and Instagram.
  • Be resourceful and creative in helping to deliver the program's message, including use of clips, graphics, and props.
  • Find background information on business and financial news stories, using various sources.
  • Coordinate production requests and schedules.
  • Research segment ideas and information as directed.
  • Assist producers with story production and pre-interviews.
  • Coordinate with other departments including technical operations, publicity, promotions, marketing, dotcom, and others.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • BA degree in journalism or business; or an equivalent degree
  • Minimum 1 year of Production experience
You'll Stand Out If
  • Proficiency with content systems, especially i-News; interest and proficiency in social media are a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal & teamwork skills, with proven ability to collaborate across all levels
  • Self-starter capable of making quick, sound decisions under pressure
  • Experience working in live television and ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills
  • Proactive thinker / self-starter
  • Business news knowledge is a plus
