Job summary

Specialty Building Products, a leading distributor of specialty building products, is seeking a Production Associate for Reeb Millwork to read routing and assemble sub-assemblies or finished products from raw materials. You will label, package, and track production while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the work area.

The role requires basic math, forklift experience preferred, and a background in manufacturing or lumber is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment working on production equipment.
• Prior lumber experience desired. Engineered Lumber experience is preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Must have basic math and analytical skills.
• Must be computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Team Lead/Shift supervisor experience is preferred.
• Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Read routing and perform work as assigned by department supervisor.
• Sew cuts, clips, hooks or assemble materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from raw materials.
• Attach labels and tags to products and packages.
• Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
• Track production on schedule boards.
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
• Place finished goods on the designated pallet.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
