Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in La Mirada, CA is seeking motivated Production Associates to join the team and uphold strict safety standards.

The role offers $22.68 per hour with 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities, weekend duties as needed, and overtime. You will learn corrugated production equipment while prioritizing safety in a hot, noisy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Post high school education in manufacturing/industrial.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup of equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or enter data into computer control systems.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment to optimize production.
• Read tape measure in increments of 1/16".
• Perform basic quality checks, multitask, pay attention to detail, and communicate with peers and management.
• Perform basic asset care duties including routine preventative maintenance and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and wear safety equipment.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve hours per day.

Georgia-Pacific is looking for motivated Production Associates with a passion for safety to join our team in La Mirada, CA!

• $22.68 per hour
• 2nd shift differential is $.50 per hour - 3rd shift differential is $1.00 per hour

Shift

• Applicants must be available to work all shifts, specifically 2nd and 3rd, including weekends as necessary.
• Only candidates who are available to work all shifts will be considered.
• Overtime hours will vary (will include day shift as needed)
• 1st:6:00 am – 2:00 pm - overtime and weekends as needed
• 2nd:2:00 pm – 10:00 pm - overtime and weekends as needed
• 3rd:10:00 pm – 6:00 am - overtime and weekends as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment in a manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse OR military environment OR completion of post high school education in manufacturing/industrial

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
• One (1) year or more experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment
• Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry

For this role, we anticipate paying $22.68 per hour.
