Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Fairfield, CA, is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Assembler to set up and assemble parts and follow procedures to produce quality components.

You will read work instructions, operate basic tools, maintain a clean work area, and participate in audits and cost-improvement activities while meeting customer deadlines. The schedule is Monday-Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm with overtime on a business need basis.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF access as required.

• Demonstrate proper use of simple hand and machine tools.
• Accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions.
• Responsible for quality product standards with no defects.

What You Will Do

• Maintains materials, equipment, and work area in clean and orderly condition.
• Examines methods and results for conformance to standards and reinstruct as required.
• Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF)
  
  

Qualifications We Prefer

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience using Citrix, SAP, Word and Excel
