Position Description

The Production Associate is responsible for the daily completion of cable, wired and/or wireless, and other assemblies for customer orders or inventory within an assigned production cell. This is an hourly position based upon a 40-hour work week. In some locations, overtime is frequently required and is communicated as far in advance as possible.

General Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assemble product per written instructions, verbal instructions, supplied blueprints, and/or internal assembly procedures.
  • Accurately track daily tasks within labor tracking system as required.
  • Utilize various pieces of test and measurement equipment (network analyzers, calipers, multi-meters, pin gauges and micrometers) to ensure produced product meets the required performance.
  • Ensure production orders are completed within the allotted labor standards and when problems arise notify help chain immediately for support and resolution.
  • Follow all quality defined processes and procedures to ensure a good quality product is produced for customer needs.
  • Make recommendations to increase efficiency, quality and/or process improvements within the manufacturing area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • Basic computer skills, ability to perform basic math functions
  • Demonstrated ability to use small handheld tools and manipulate small objects during assembly process.
  • Read/Speak/Write in English. Additional languages are a plus.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • After training, must be able to pass soldering and cable assembly certifications.
  • Pays close attention to detail to identify part discrepancies and documentation deficiencies.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work efficiently.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills.
  • Works well with a team.
  • Maintains excellent attendance.

Reports To: Production Supervisor and takes direction from Production Leads and Production support team members.

Environment: Warehouse environment, occasionally hot or cold temperatures, moderate noise level, occasional dust, chemical odors.
