Job summary

Sonoco is seeking a Production Associate in Horsham, PA. The role supports safe, efficient 12-hour production shifts (3/4/4/3 schedule) with Night and Day requirements. Wage is $24.91/hr, and duties include operating the assembly line, feeding materials, inspecting quality, and assisting with changeovers.

The ideal candidate follows safety practices, contributes to a safe work environment, and can learn new processes while standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

  • Keeps lines clear of jams and restarts machinery as required.
  • Performs clean-up and housekeeping duties.

Position: Production Associate Location: Horsham, PA Wage: $24.91/hr Shift: : 12-hour shift 3/4/4/3 Schedule Must be able to work Nights and Days 7-7

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Complies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
  • Supports and follows the SQF (Safe Quality Food) guidelines of the food safety system.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment. This includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, participating in monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents, as required.
  • Follows company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), practices and Sonoco’s Global Code of Conduct.
  • Operates machinery in the assembly line and maintains steady flow of product.
  • Inspects product throughout the shift and notifies the mechanic or shift supervisor of any quality defects.
  • Feeds raw materials into the lines.
  • Keeps assembly lines and lifts clear of jams and restarts machinery as needed.
  • Helps the assembly line mechanic with changeovers as needed.
  • Responsible for keeping count of tops/ends.
  • Performs clean-up and housekeeping duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
  • Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.
  • Ability to work in various conditions: hot and cold environments.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
