Job summary

FleetPride in Grapevine, TX is seeking an assembler to join the production line, assembling axles and related components to meet customer specs. You will use calipers, micrometers and other gauges to verify dimensions and quality.

The role requires lifting up to 90 lbs, standing through 8–12 hour shifts, and following safety rules. Overtime may be required and punctual attendance is essential. Training on tooling and 5S practices will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year general warehouse experience.
• Experience machining and using measuring tools is required.
• Able to lift up to 90 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Check specs and load/unload production lines.
• Perform 100% manual inspection of parts.
• Inspect parts with measurement tools to ensure specs.
• Make necessary offsets and adjust tooling as needed.
• Complete production paperwork and maintain 5S housekeeping.

Proper assembly is done to ensure a quality axle product in a safe and timely fashion, and to ensure all product is assembled, tested and verified to customer specifications.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESCheck specs, load/unload production lines Utilizes measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.). Performs 100% manual inspection of parts. Inspect parts produced to ensure they meet specification, using basic inspection equipment. Make necessary offsets. Change/adjust production tooling. Complete production paperwork. Daily preventative maintenance, remove and dispose of chips/shavings, replenish fluids/lubricants, Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas - perform 5S cleaning responsibilities Understand and review the product throughout the product process to ensure final product quality meets standards. Must be able to work overtime if needed and have excellent attendance record. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
