What You’ll Do

Support seed production, perform tasks related to plant operations and field activities, including crop production, detasseling, harvest, conditioning, packaging, and warehousing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Testing moisture levels of ear corn
  • Assisting with husking, sorting, drying, shelling, and storage
  • Operating and maintaining equipment like cleaners, sizers, and sorters
  • Performing preventative maintenance and reporting issues
  • Obtaining a chemical operator’s license and managing basic computer tasks
  • Conducting field inspections and seed re-bagging
  • Pre-staging and delivering seeds as needed
  • Completing forklift training
  • Supervising seasonal staff and ensuring safety compliance

Qualifications

  • At least two years of agricultural experience
  • Associate’s degree in agriculture or related field preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable under company auto policy
  • Willingness to obtain a CDL
