Production Associate - Fill - (part-time weekend 2:45 pm - 10:45 pm)

Your role at Baxter:

The Production Associate, Fill, is an hourly non-exempt position contributing to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by inspecting, printing, filling, and sealing flexible containers holding IV therapies, premixed drugs, renal therapies, and other sterile solutions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Fill, assemble, and plug flexible containers with solutions or premixed drugs at a rate consistent with production needs
  • Print labeling and barcode information on the flexible containers using a computerized printer
  • Maintain the printer by replacing printer foil, ribbon, and making minor adjustments
  • Supply filling stations with printed bags and other necessary supplies
  • Inspect and ensure quality standards are met for printed bags and components
  • Perform and document scheduled cleaning activities
  • Conduct scheduled quality checks using gauges and scales
  • Understand and apply quality standards, SOPs, and cGMP guidelines
  • Notify supervisors and take appropriate action if safety, quality, mechanical, or discrepancy issues occur
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles

What you'll bring:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Basic English communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to understand safety and quality instructions and read work instructions including drawings
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics
  • Possess or be able to obtain Inspector Certification
  • Preferred: One year of manufacturing experience
  • Preferred: CRC at the Silver level

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuous grasping, pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds for up to 50 feet, reaching up to 18 inches
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 12 pounds
  • Normal visual acuity and color distinction required
  • Ability to perform quick, precise repetitive tasks using both arms and hands
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, squat, climb ladders, reach, balance, stoop, and crouch

Compensation for this position is $18.40 per hour.
