JOB DETAILS

Base Pay $16.00 per hour, plus $0.75 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift

3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday, 11 pm-7 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Associate visually inspects extruded products for consistent appearance and length according to defined standards. Ensures product consistency including proper counts, packing patterns, enclosures, and labels. Packs finished products into bundles, routes, cuts, sores, and boxes products following B.O.M.'s. Maintains paperwork as required.

• Visually inspect the extruded product for appearance and size defects
• Conduct tests/inspections of product functionality
• Notify personnel of product defects
• Assemble bundles for packaging
• Ensure proper packing patterns, counts, and enclosures
• Verify all parts are in place in all box programs
• Square, band, heat seal, and label bundles
• Set up and operate fabrication equipment (routers, saws, heat tunnels, notchers, crimpers)
• Discard unacceptable profiles in Scrap Rack
• Identify jams and line issues and assist accordingly
• Assist with color and die changes
• Perform line shutdown tasks
• Communicate with shifts about product quality and status
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Complete packaging paperwork accurately
• Identify products out of spec and repackage as needed
• Punch time clock before and after shifts
• Observe health and safety practices
• Assist with equipment maintenance and training
• Maintain supplies and cleanliness
• Work with Material Handlers for moving bundles
• Participate in safety programs

Qualifications

• Preferred: Production/Manufacturing experience
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• Positive attitude, good attendance, safety-conscious
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual tasks
• Good communication and manual dexterity
• Extensive standing, bending, lifting, and working in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Use of PPE required
