Job summary

Creation Technologies is seeking a Production Associate 3 to assemble complex electro-mechanical assemblies and cables, working independently and acting as a technical resource within the cell.

You will troubleshoot, mentor peers, and support process improvements while ensuring quality and on-time production execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years electronics assembly experience incl. complex builds and repairs.
• Certification/knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly, cable builds, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly defects to maintain quality and throughput.
• Inspect visuals at defined steps to identify workmanship defects.
• Collaborate with team leads, engineers, and quality teams to improve processes.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to peers to improve capability.
• Communicate issues and improvement recommendations clearly for problem resolution.
• Support documentation updates and training content to maintain build quality.
• Influence process changes and training through SME input.
• Reduce cost of poor quality by improving repair effectiveness and preventing repeats.

The Production Associate 3 is a highly skilled assembler who works independently on complex electro-mechanical assemblies and cables. This role serves as a technical resource within the cell, supporting quality improvements, troubleshooting, mentoring, and advanced production execution.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly, cable builds, and repairs to support production requirements.
• Solve complex electro-mechanical assembly challenges and troubleshoot detected assembly defects to maintain quality and throughput.
• Perform visual inspection at defined steps in the manufacturing process to identify workmanship and assembly defects.
• Partners with team leads, supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers to improve team capability.
• Communicate technical issues and improvement recommendations clearly to support problem resolution.
• Support documentation updates and training content to maintain accurate build and quality standards.
• Influence process changes and training practices through subject‑matter expertise.
• Reduce cost of poor quality by improving repair effectiveness and preventing repeat defects.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 2+ years electronics assembly experience including complex builds and repairs; prior experience mentoring others.
• Certification to or demonstrated knowledge of IPC-A-610 and or IPC/WHMA-A-620 required.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Advanced technical skills in complex assembly, troubleshooting, rework, and process optimization.
• Ability to read and follow complex drawings and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and equipment reliability concepts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel office equipment, objects, tools, or controls. WORKING CONDITIONS

The working environment is generally clean; however, this position may be exposed to occasional dust, metals/solder, occasional exposure to high noise levels from operating machines or physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
