Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Monticello, IA 52310 is hiring for a 2nd shift general labor role in a high production manufacturing environment. Base pay starts at $19.00 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential. Shifts run 3:15 pm – 1:45 am, Monday through Thursday.

The position requires reading routing and blueprints, tracking production, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Employees operate forklifts and power tools while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $19.00 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential.

2nd Shift: 3:15 pm - 1:45 am (Monday thru Thursday)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor
• Track production on schedule boards
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• General Labor in different departments of the shop facility
• Moving of raw materials with overhead crane and forklift

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in high production manufacturing environment
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical data and select correct raw material or semi-finished parts
• Ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small group situations and settings is required
• Perform general mathematic calculations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and division
• Use power hand tools
• Drive a forklift
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
• Read different measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, protractor, micrometer)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
