Melaleuca Inc. in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Full-Time 2nd Shift Production Associate for a high-volume manufacturing environment. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:45 pm–11:15 pm with starting pay of $14.40/hour plus $2.00 shift differential.

The role focuses on light packaging, setup, labeling, and palletizing in a climate-controlled facility. Responsibilities include preparing the work area, moving pallets, performing cleanup, and assisting in machine changeovers.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently.
• Written & verbal communication skills.
• Lift 35 lbs. occasionally during shift.
• Operate mechanical equipment.
• Stand and walk for 8-hour shift.
• Pull, stretch, bend, and lift during shift.
• Visually read bottles and batch numbers.
• Manual dexterity for sorting and packing tasks.
• Read, write and perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Complete duties with efficiency and accuracy.
• Climb stairs.

Responsibilities

• Set up work area by retrieving production components and sterilizing equipment.
• Label totes and load pallets for distribution.
• Move pallets with pallet jacks to required areas.
• Lift finished product onto pallets or tables.
• Perform cleaning duties and sanitize workstations.
• Support equipment changeover and setup as directed.
• Inspect quality of own work and labels.
• Assist in training other associates as needed.
• Monitor quality by checking labels and batch numbers.
• Complete personal reports and logs.
• Assist in machine teardown, cleaning and setup.
• Take instruction from Machine Operator/Coordinator.
• Assist in Product Delivery Department when needed.
• Work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Sets-up work area by retrieving production components (i.e., bottles, caps, pallets, products, rags, totes, etc.) and by sterilizing the tables and equipment, code dating individual bottles, etc.
• Uses personnel protective equipment where required.
• Prepares pallets by filling totes, labeling totes with required information, loading pallets, moving pallets with pallet jacks to the correct area, etc.
• Lifts finished product in totes onto pallets, onto a table or onto a shelf.
• Performs clean-up duties by washing equipment, sweeping & mopping the floors, emptying the garbage, wiping down workstations with IPA and buckets, etc.
• Supports equipment changeover and setup processes as defined by the Machine Operator or Coordinator.
• Inspects quality of own work for cleanliness, label placement, lids tight, correct batch numbers, etc.
• Assists in training other associates as needed by demonstrating tasks, answering questions, etc.
• Monitors quality by wiping excess product from containers, checking silk-screened labels, count on boxes, stacking of pallets, and by verifying that labels are correctly placed.
• Completes personal reports by recording information (i.e., individual performance, batch sheets, cleaning logs, labeling, amounts, OTC product forms, component returns sheet to warehouse, etc.).
• Assists in machine tear down, cleaning and set-up, etc.
• Takes instruction from Machine Operator/Coordinator to assist where needed.
• Assists in Product Delivery Department when needed.
• Work overtime as needed.
