Job description

Performs typical manufacturing operations to support the press production and assembly operations in a lean manufacturing environment using a variety of equipment, including automated equipment and metal stamping presses. Responsibilities include:

1. Participating in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
2. Adhering to all policies and procedures
3. Maintaining a neat and organized work area
4. Setting and changing dies, adjusting components, and operating machines to shear, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten stainless steel to precise measurements
5. Starting machines, monitoring operations, and recording data
6. Adjusting machine speeds and actions according to product specifications and work instructions
7. Performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment
8. Inspecting finished pieces for defects and sorting accordingly
9. Installing, aligning, and setting dies and fixtures in machines
10. Loading pieces or steel coils into machines
11. Measuring parts to verify conformance to specifications
12. Following work orders and production schedules
13. Entering data into computer systems
14. Reporting defective materials or questionable conditions
15. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
16. Operating industrial power trucks
17. Completing tasks with minimal supervision
18. Reporting discrepancies, issues, or safety concerns
19. Handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste properly, including attending training
20. Following established procedures and performing other duties as assigned
