Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a manufacturing associate responsible for machining and/or assembling production parts while ensuring 100% quality and on-time delivery to customers. The ideal candidate will have strong math skills, good communication, and basic mechanical knowledge, with 6–12 months of factory experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred for some ranks; required for higher ranks.
  • Additional job-related training preferred, such as technical courses or certifications.
  • Good math and reasoning abilities.

  • Ability to train others and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Six months to one year of factory/manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain attendance and follow Company policies as directed by the handbook and safety rules.
  • Maintain process flow for machining/assembling parts and complete daily production tracking reports.
  • Perform quality inspections by measuring parts and executing run-out checks as required.
  • Identify abnormal situations and follow proper operating procedures; initiate trouble reports.
  • Train others when requested and participate in Kaizen and TPM activities.
  • Label and approve outgoing inspected parts and maintain production documentation.

Job description

Responsible for machining and/or assembling production parts, maintaining 100% quality with on-time delivery to customer.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain strong attendance; knows and follows Company policies as directed by the Employee Handbook, the Safety Rules and Regulations, and the Quality Manual.
  • Maintains process flow for machining/assembling each part based on specific procedures and completing all daily production tracking reports accurately.
  • Performs quality check inspections by measuring (gauging) part diameters, depths, external and internal grooves, etc. as required for the work cell (machining or assembly). Performs all other inspections at work cell including additional run out and poke yoke checks.
  • Consistently produces 100% quality parts by identifying abnormal situations and following proper operating procedures.
  • Initiates Trouble Reports.
  • May participate in investigations and suggest countermeasures.
  • Approves outgoing, inspected parts by labeling boxes with individual packing number.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of all production-related documentation (e.g., PCC, Operation Sheets, SOS, FMEA, Key Point, Kan Ban, Flow Cards).
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of TPM by checking all fluid levels in the machines (e.g., oil, coolant, etc.), and participate in scheduled TPM activities.
  • Attends and successfully completes all operator training required for each Rank.
  • Strives daily to meet Department and Company goals and objectives; improve (Kaizen) machine processes, support team leaders and members, and maintain a safe working environment for all.
  • Understands Kaizen program and participate.
  • Trains others when requested in areas where already achieved suitable Competency level.
  • All other duties required of the job and requested by a member of the Management Team

  • Ability to maneuver around the plant; repeatedly bend, squat, move both arms above the head, and move head straight up and down and side to side.
  • Good hand strength with steady movement, good finger dexterity, repeatedly able to grasp small and large objects and rotate wrists, arms, and shoulders.
  • Good eyesight, hearing, and speaking voice; and ability to lift between 10-40 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to work well with others.
