Job summary

Camfil USA in Kilgore, TX is seeking a Production Associate to operate machinery and assemble components per engineering drawings and quality specs. You will pack filters, maintain 6S standards, and support production goals.

This role requires standing 8–12 hours, basic math, ability to read safety rules, and willingness to work overtime. Training across production areas is possible.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of stable work history.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports.
  • Ability to speak English effectively to management and employees of the organization.
  • Basic math skills, including the use of a measuring tape, multiplication of whole numbers, use of a calculator, and work with fractions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for continuous periods of 4 hours.
  • The employee frequently is required to handle product and reach with hands and arms repetitively throughout the shift.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Follow basic pleating/assembly/packing instructions, processes and procedures.
  • Maintain process cycle time to keep pace with established standards.
  • Consistently produce components, assemble, and pack throughout the work shift.
  • Visually inspect components and filters for any defects.
  • Must be willing to work standing on your feet for the entire shift (8‑12 hours).
  • Report any issues, malfunction or defective parts to the Group Leader.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Willing to cross‑train and work in all production areas based on the needs of the business.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Daily/Weekly availability for overtime.
  • Cross‑train in other positions within the facility based on business needs.
  • Operate Pleater machine checking for correct size and quality.
  • Operate production machinery.
  • Support production assembly as needed.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned (this list is not exhaustive and may be expanded upon a manager’s discretion)

SUMMARY:

The Production Associate position is responsible for operating machinery to assemble components per approved engineering drawings and quality specifications, packing filters, maintaining 6S standards, and ensuring product quality by performing the following duties.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas, and the employee must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
