Position Overview: This position is responsible for receiving raw product, supplying raw product to the processing area, production (Fresh Cut, Fresh Pack, and Dehy), and for packaging and warehousing of the finished product in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operate forklift and lift 50# bags of product.
2. Adhere to company rules, GMP signs, and maintain good personal hygiene.
3. Follow all Food Safety and SQF regulations.
4. Operate all packaging equipment and ensure finished products meet specifications.
5. Complete all job-specific paperwork daily.
6. Communicate effectively with team members regarding production and maintenance issues.
7. Work in a team environment, maintaining open communication with supervisors and lab personnel.
8. Perform tasks at all levels, from sweeping floors to operating equipment.
9. Assist with work in other production areas as needed, including filling in for colleagues.
10. Participate in clean-up at the end of production runs.
11. Support the production of high-quality food products safely.

Department-specific duties include:

• Fresh Cut: Clean and set up processing line, bag, stack, pick orders, peel potatoes, check product temperature, metal detector, bag weights.
• Dehy: Clean and set up processing line, operate forklift, scrape bad product, bag and stack finished product, complete paperwork, clean equipment and floors, run re-blend.
• Fresh Pack: Operate forklift, pick off-grade product, assemble bins, pack bags, check weights, monitor Volm Baler, clean up.

Required Skills

• General machine operating experience.
• Computer literacy.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Physical activity includes walking, standing, lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs, crawling, reaching, and walking on uneven surfaces. The job involves exposure to steam, heat, noise, chemicals, and dust daily. Safety equipment such as hearing protection and proper footwear are required.
