Position Summary
The Production Associate is part of the plant operations team, primarily during night shift, responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of corrugated boxes. The role involves operating machinery (after training), preparing materials, packaging finished product, ensuring quality, helping with maintenance and supporting workflow to meet production goals. Reliable attendance, safety, and collaboration are important.
Key Responsibilities
- Feed corrugated sheets into box-making machines
- Set up and operate heavy manufacturing equipment (once trained)
- Bundle finished boxes and palletize (stack and wrap pallets)
- Perform quality checks on finished products looking for defects, ensuring specifications are met
- Assist with machine maintenance tasks, routine upkeep, and adjustments
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment (housekeeping around your station, keeping workspace clear)
- Follow safety procedures, use proper PPE, report safety concerns
- Operate in a team environment; communicate with supervisors and coworkers
- Possibly help with loading/unloading materials, moving product or materials around the plant
Requirements / Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude: ability to learn operation of machinery, comfortable with mechanical tasks
- Dependability & strong attendance
- Attention to detail both in operating machines safely and checking product quality
- Basic math and communication skills ability to read instructions, understand measurements, etc. Spanish proficiency is a plus
- Physical fitness: ability to stand for long periods, frequent walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs or platforms
- Able to lift/move up to ~50 lbs regularly

- Starting Pay: $27.00/$35.00 per hour
