Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Production Operations Associate to help move materials through our production line, receive raw materials, and prep finished goods for shipment. The role emphasizes safety, quality, data integrity in the WMS, and teamwork in a fast-paced, continuously operating environment. Training on equipment and PPE usage will be provided.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs are essential; flexibility for varying shifts may be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with hazardous material handling; HAZWOPER preferred or obtainable.
  • Experience using PPE including PPE and PAPRs as described.
  • Ability to follow SOPs, safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations of a continuously running production line.

  • Handle forklift operation and PIT equipment.
  • Receive inbound shipments and stage materials for production.
  • Maintain data in WMS and generate reports for decisions.

Job description

The Production Operations Associate will ensure the efficient movement and processing of materials to support production goals, facilitate the timely receipt of raw materials, and prepare finished goods for shipment in a collaborative work environment under specific safety and quality guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day operations of a continuously running production line, including material sampling, forklift operation, and performing actions within Ignition and other Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
  • Operate and train on material processing and manufacturing equipment, including material conveyance systems, shredding and milling equipment, and material screening and separation systems
  • Operate and train on powered industrial trucks (PIT), including but not limited to forklifts and reach trucks
  • Pick, stage, and load materials and inventory required for production areas
  • Receive inbound shipments of raw materials, maintenance parts, and engineering equipment from suppliers
  • Maintain accurate data and transactions within a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and generate reports to support operational and management decisions
  • Participate in physical inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Follow established material flow strategies to improve operational efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Support and model quality control practices to ensure materials meet production and safety standards
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance, with a strong focus on the safe use of production and material-handling equipment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
  • Familiarity with hazardous material handling practices; HAZWOPER certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification
  • Experience working in required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, hard hats, disposable coveralls, and Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPRs)
  • Basic computer skills and comfort using systems such as HMIs, tablets, or inventory and production tracking software
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality standards
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, quality, and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, continuously operating environment
  • Willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and technologies through on-the-job training
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and provide clear updates or feedback as needed.
  • Reliable and dependable, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  • A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to complete a respiratory fit test and respiratory medical evaluation
  • Ability to work with Tyvek suits, Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR), and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time (up to a full shift)
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to operate and train on equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized machinery
