Job summary

Bunge in Sandston, Virginia is hiring a Production Associate to produce quality product per production schedule with safe operation of equipment. You will actively follow the Employee Safety Policy and maintain a safe work environment for yourself and coworkers.

Shifts are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with occasional overtime. Starting pay is $15 per hour and eligibility for an annual incentive bonus. Training includes Food Safety, HACCP, and Pallet Jack; strong benefits and growth opportunities.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and stand 100% of shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate all machinery for lines assigned and maintain safety.
• Stack lines, hand-pack, palletize boxes, and support the shift as needed.
• Perform duties safely as directed by supervisor or manager.
• Keep areas clean and maintain general housekeeping.
• Assist in maintaining product quality for the area.
• Other duties as assigned by Production Supervisors or Manager.

A Day in the Life:

Production Associate is responsible for producing quality product per production schedule with working knowledge of production equipment and operating safely within established guidelines. Candidate must actively participate in Bunge’s Employee Safety Policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees.

Position Details:

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts: 1st Shift: (6:30a-3:00p), 2nd Shift: (2:30p-11p) and 3rd Shift: (10:30p-7:00a) with occasional overtime as needed.

Starting pay is $15 per hour. This role is eligible to receive an annual incentive bonus.

What You'll Be Doing

• Safety Operate all machinery for each line to which they are assigned.
• May be called upon to stack lines, hand-pack lines, palletize boxes, fork cups, or any other tasks deemed necessary by the Shift Supervisor.
• Safely perform duties assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Maintain general housekeeping of the areas assigned.
• Assist in maintaining the quality of the product for the assigned area.
• Other duties as assigned by Production Supervisors or Production Manager.

Training Requirements:

Food Safety, Food Security, Safety, HACCP as assigned to the area, and Pallet Jack Training.

Skill/Experience Requirements

• High School graduate is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with basic communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or less repeatedly for ten hours and be able to remain standing 100% of the shift. Must pass a functional capacity test prior to employment.
