We are seeking a creative, motivated, and highly organized Production Associate to join the Mestiza New York team. As we continue to scale, this role is critical to ensuring the seamless execution of our Ready-to-Wear (RTW) Bridal and Swim collections. The Production Associate will own the full production process, working closely with design, merchandising, and all factory partners to deliver beautiful, high-quality products on time and aligned with the Mestiza brand vision.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced production professional who thrives on managing details, driving timelines, and maintaining complete visibility into every moving part of fashion production in a fast-growing company. This role offers clear potential for growth as Mestiza continues to scale, with the opportunity to expand into a more senior production or management position over time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Production, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fashion production or a similar role, ideally in RTW
• Strong understanding of garment construction, production timelines, and vendor management
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Excel
• Excellent technical drawing and sketching skills
• Proven ability to manage complex production timelines and multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and quality standards
• Clear, proactive communication and ability to build strong external and internal partnerships
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, scaling environment
• Experience improving production processes or scaling operations is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all factory partners, maintaining regular meetings and ensuring strong, collaborative vendor relationships
• Maintain full, detailed awareness of every stage of the production process, tracking all components and proactively addressing issues before they escalate
• Own Mestiza’s production calendar, ensuring all key milestones are met across design, development, and delivery
• Collaborate closely with the Chief Creative Officer, entire design team, and merchandising team to execute each season’s collections across all product categories.
• Manage on-time shipments for samples and bulk production, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
• Track and manage all production components — including fabrics, trims, labels, and packaging — ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with production needs
• Assist in creating and updating detailed tech packs for all product categories Bridal, RTW, knits, lounge, accessories and swim throughout the season
• Produce accurate technical drawings and proto sheets to guide factory work
• Attend fittings, take detailed notes/photos, and communicate fit notes and adjustments to factories
• Ensure timely feedback and approvals for strike-offs, lab dips, and samples
• Collaborate with the design and merchandising teams to ensure consistency in colors, prints, and embellishments across product categories and factories
• Establish and uphold quality control standards with new vendors, ensuring all products meet Mestiza’s packaging and brand guidelines
• Maintain detailed documentation of production processes, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency and support future scaling
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve production workflow, vendor management, and quality control
