Job summary

Silgan is hiring Production Associates for the New Castle, PA facility. You will maintain production lines with cartons, seal and stack finished product, and perform visual checks of caps. The plant runs three shifts seven days a week, with employees assigned to a steady shift.

Overtime is available and you will be part of a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment. The role requires you to move boxes weighing 15–35 lbs, monitor lines, and ensure quality and proper labeling throughout the

Qualifications

• Must perform quality checks to ensure caps meet standards.
• Monitor automated lines to ensure proper feeding of caps into boxes.
• Periodically re-thread labels, fill ink and liners, and unjam caps.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and transport boxes weighing 15–35 lbs across short distances.

Responsibilities

• Ensure lines produce caps that pass visual and quality checks.
• Oversee line operation to keep caps feeding correctly into packaging cartons.
• Re-thread labels, refill ink and liner, and clear jams to minimize downtime.
• Label filled boxes correctly and stack on pallets (boxes up to 32 lbs, stacked 6–7 high).

Now hiring Production Associates - $16.00 per hour plus shift differential. Overtime available. Plant runs 3 shifts 7 days per week. Employees are assigned to work one steady shift.

As a Production Team Member, you will maintain production lines with cartons as well as seal and stack finished product and doing visual checks of caps in our New Castle, PA facility.

What you'll do:

• Ensuring that the line(s) you are assigned to produces quality caps through periodic inspections
• Monitor the automated line to ensure that caps are properly feeding into the boxes
• Periodically re-threading labels, filling ink and liner and unjamming caps
• Properly labeling the filled boxes and stacking them on the pallet. Filled boxes weigh up to 32 pounds and are stacked 6-7 high on the pallet

What you’ll need to have:

• Ability to frequently transport a box of product weighing between 15 and 35 lbs. for a short distance from the line to stack on the pallet
