JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Molding Machine Operator I

Department: Plant Wide

Company: Regal Rexnord

POSITION SUMMARY:

Sets up and operates a machine in order to shape composites. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Read blueprints and diagrams to accurately set up a molding machine.
  2. Operate the machine so that the result is within tolerance and is produced in the allotted amount of time.
  3. Report mechanical or safety issues to management promptly.
  4. Attend work on a regular and predictable basis.
  5. Complete assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness.
  6. Uphold company policies, including the anti-harassment program.
  7. Work in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, co-workers, customers, and the public.
  8. Uphold the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior.
  9. Work effectively and efficiently under production deadlines.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, WORK AIDS:

Computer, overhead hoist or crane.

Hours worked:

This position typically involves an 8-10 hour shift with a forty-hour work week. The position covers all shifts. Some overtime may be required to meet production demands.

Minimum Education: High school or GED

Minimum Experience: Entry level position

Necessary Skills:

  1. High school level computer skills.
  2. High school level math skills.
  3. High school level verbal and written communication skills – English primary.

Protective Clothing: Safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes. Some tasks may require gloves. All protective equipment required by company policy and/or State law.
