Job summary

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Production Associate in Harrisonburg, VA. You will operate robots and stackers, strap book sections, and manage labeling and palletizing processes to move finished products efficiently from printing to readers.

No prior experience is required as training is provided; this role includes a 12-hour daylight shift and on-site locations in Harrisonburg. Benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry 20-50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for the duration of your shift.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Consistent work experience.
• Machine experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret written work indicating the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate robots and stackers that collect sections of books coming off our printing presses.
• Strap book sections together and places them on pallets.
• Enter information about the books coming off the press into a computer, print labels, and place on a pallet.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.

As the largest bookmaker in the United States, you will help move the finished product out the door and into the hands of readers across the country. No experience necessary! Starting Rate: $17.60/hour

Hours: 12-hour Daylight shift 6am-6pm, M/T/F/S/S/W/Th

Location: 2347 Kratzer Rd; Harrisonburg, VA 22802 and 1025 Willow Springs Rd; Harrisonburg, VA 22801
