Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Batavia, NY is hiring Production Associates for our corrugated sheet feeder plant. You will operate equipment, monitor control systems, troubleshoot, perform basic asset care, and help meet production, quality, and safety goals. Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with overtime and weekend opportunities.

Starting pay is $23.00 per hour, with $1.00 and $1.50 shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts, respectively. Orientation for 1st shift precedes assignment to a later shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer, tablet, or smart device for monitoring systems.
• Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
• Perform basic asset care duties including routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including PPE.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and pulling for up to 12 hours.
• Be flexible to overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Georgia-Pacific is now hiringProduction Associatesto join our corrugated sheet feeder facility inBatavia, NY!At our corrugated sheet feeder plant we manufacture and supply high-quality corrugated sheets used to produce packaging and shipping containers for a wide range of industries.

• $23.00per hour
• 2nd Shift Differential - One dollar per hour =$24.00
• 3rd Shift Differential -One dollar and fifty cents per hour =$24.50
• You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.

Shift

• Currently hiring for 2 nd and 3 rd shift only.
• The first (2-4) weeks of orientation will be on 1st shift (7am - 3pm), then you will be assigned to your 2nd OR 3rd shift after your orientation.
• Only candidates who are flexible and available to workanyshift will be considered. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Shift Hours

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Starts Monday night)
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment
