Job summary

Casco Manufacturing in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Production Associate to support the assembly of wire and cable harnesses on 1st shift. You will read product drawings and assemble parts according to specifications, using cutting, crimping, and stripping tools. Candidates with a High School Diploma and basic tools experience are preferred; ERP familiarity is a plus.

We are currently seeking Production Associates for 1st shift in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE

Objective/Scope:

The Production Associate is responsible for an assigned stage of the assembly process for the manufacture of wire and cable harnesses. S/he will read product drawings and assemble parts in accordance with the product specifications.

Position in the Organization:

• Reports to the Production Manager

Responsibilities:

• Use cutting, crimping, and stripping equipment or hand tools to modify wire/cable in alignment with product drawing
• Attach connectors and insert connections in alignment with product drawing
• Create, modify, and apply product labels
• Perform inspections and/or testing to ensure product functionality and compliance to drawing
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or demonstrated competency in the skills required for the position
• Experience in wire harness assembly is preferred, but not required
• Ability to read engineering drawings and prints is required
• Previous experience with ERP systems is a plus
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Technical Requirements:

• Use and knowledge of a ruler is essential
• Ability to use small hand tools required
• Ability to read fine print and differentiate colors required
• Advanced computer knowledge is required
• Soldering aptitude preferred, but not required
