Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Production Associate in Bedford, VA to support finishing operations. You will operate manual and machine finishing tasks, inspect for defects, and ensure quality sign-offs for shipped orders. Weekly pay and benefits are included.

The role requires a high school diploma and ability to read and follow English instructions. Prior printing experience is a plus, and a Lean manufacturing mindset is helpful in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Lean manufacturing and ISO quality knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual and machine operator tasks for finishing operations.
  • Inspect for printing defects with attention to detail.
  • Box completed orders prepared for shipping.
  • Prepare quality sign-off documentation for tasks.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on finishing equipment.
  • Collaborate with teams to support workflow and continuous improvements.

Schedule
  • 2nd Shift | 3 PM - 11 PM
  • 3rd Shift | 11 PM - 7 AM

Job Duties
  • Performing manual and machine operator tasks as related to a variety of finishing operations
  • Inspecting for printing defects, requiring close attention to detail
  • Boxing completed orders produced in finishing in preparation for shipping
  • Preparing appropriate quality sign-off documentation for assigned tasks
  • Performing required preventive maintenance on assigned finishing equipment
  • Working closely with teams/departments to create an environment that supports workflow and continuous improvements of finishing operation
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language
Preferred Qualifications
  • One or more years' experience in a similar role in printing
  • A Plus: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and ISO quality systems
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
  • Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
